Leah Fortner has been assisting others on their life paths for over 6 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Parapsychic Science (a holistic partitioning degree) from The American Institute of Holistic Theology. AIHT is an accredited holistic college based out of Birmingham, Alabama. Leah is currently pursuing a PHD in the same field. The study of how consciousness, energy, and matter interact has given her many tools to work with on her journey of serving others and she is honored to now share Reiki with others as an additional part of her practice. Leah had a life changing experience while recieving Reiki and was inspired to study it herself. She is now a Reiki Level II Practitioner. Energy medicine has become the next big frontier in the field of health. Studying many of the different therapies in this field allows her to be one of the pioneers in a newer way of living in optimum health and wellness. Some of the modalities are sound therapy, color therapy, Reiki, aromatherapy, stone therapy, dream analysis, as well as other treatments that work with karmic relationships, holistic counseling, life coaching, subconscious programming and more. Leah uses her extensive knowledge and personal experiences to guide others in manifesting the lives they really want and deserve. In this way she empowers her clients to create healing and positive change from within.
Leah is also certified as a nutrition and wellness consultant through AFPA (American Fitness Professionals and Associates). Her education in nutrition combined with her holistic practice, allows her to address all levels of the balance between mind, body and spirit in her sessions.
As part of her career in the health and wellness field, Leah managed an Acupuncture and Wellness Center, where she applied her minor in Business Management. This gave her an in-depth exposure to many different modalities, including the ancient practices of eastern medicine. Her expansive knowledge in preventative care and holistic medicine allows her to guide her clients not only through her own methods of treatment, but through a much larger variety.
"Every session and every person is different, but what remains the same is the intention to open ourselves up to higher levels of consciousness and allow truth, love and acceptance to flow freely so that we may create healing, positive change, and spiritual growth." -- Leah J. Fortner
Uses the vibrations of diverse sounds to align the bodies vibrational symphony back into harmony, as well as inducing the mind into deeper levels of consciousness.
Using colors to produce emotional reactions that need to be healed. Also used in guided meditations to create cellular healing.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us all. It has many proven health benefits such as lowering heart rates and reducing pain and is also becoming more popular for treatment in hospitals and wellness centers world wide. The most amazing experiences of my life have been through Reiki and sharing it with others is a gift. Every session is different, but the positive effects will be very apparent; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
The use of volatile plant materials, known as essential oils, and other aromatic compounds with the purpose of uplifting a person’s mood, increasing health, or cognitive function.
The use of Semi-Precious Stones and Crystals in the healing process. The colors and vibrations of these stones offer specific properties that relate to different body parts, bodily functions, emotions, and energetic expressions.
Our dreams offer us communication with the subconscious mind, which is 75% of our mental selves. The subconscious, unlike the conscious, uses symbols to communicate rather then logical expressions of words. Dream Analysis focuses on decoding these symbols, so that we may integrate all levels of our selves. Through this awareness we can identify many emotions and current or past situations that our subconscious is trying to offer healing for.
Taking a deeper look at the relationships we have attracted into our lives. By doing so we can identify the lessons they are offering to our higher selves for growth and healing. All relationships offer the gift of reflection into our deepest selves and when open to these reflections there is abundant healing available.
Counseling that focuses on the “whole” of a patient. This is the concept that true healing comes on all levels and is based on the balance of mind, body and spirit.
A method of assisting clients in determining and achieving personal goals.
Our subconscious mind has many deep seeded beliefs and experiences that we may not be aware of. These feelings and experiences create many of the circumstances we are currently experiencing in our lives. These energetic emotions and beliefs have creative authority all the way down to our cellular tissues. Once these feelings and experiences that no longer serve us are identified we are able to “reprogram” them into more current and positive vibrations using a variety of methods. Then our bodies and our experiences will start to mirror these new programmed feelings of love, happiness and abundance.
